Lightword theme: tweaking and configuring top menu

This blog has the Lightword theme installed. And while I like it, I have made some tweaks already.

First, I disabled the 'Cufón' setting. This setting basically works like this... first, when you open your blog, you see the title in some default font, and then after a second or two, hey presto! it gets changed it into another, fancier font.
I don't like that. I like my site to be displayed in the design I want it to be displayed in, from the moment you open it.

Second, the theme states it comes with a menu where the pages will show, in the grey bar. Turns out: it only showed the home link... and not the link to the about page.
This apparently has to do with the template itself, and here is how to add that top menu:

1. In your WordPress Dashboard, go to Appearance - Menus
2. Create a new menu called Pages (or whatever, you won't see the title on your blog), check the box labeled Automatically add new top-level pages if you want new pages linked in the menu, and click save. This will the menu that contains the items that will be shown in the grey bar.
3. Then, to the left of the newly created menu, you see an item called Pages. Select the pages you want to add to the menu and click the Add to menu button. Again save the menu.
4. Now, at the end of this Menu page, there is an item called Theme locations, with only one item, Lightword navigation bar. Select the menu you just created in the pulldown menu, and click Save.

That's it! You should have a working top menu.
