Back to the best composer of all times, Johann Sebastian Bach. I was lucky enough to have performed cantata BWV5 (sheet music here) as a tenor choir singer once in my life. Especially the opening choral sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it.

I discovered Martijn de Kleer‘s music at the home of a friend of mine, some 15 years ago now. It was a demo tape back then, but now it has been released under the title The Stranger It Gets part one and part two.
Over the years I kept listening and listening to these tapes, and especially this song has become a main influence in my acoustic playing. I included it in my solo singer-songwriter set as a cover.
Give it a listen, it is really good and wholesome music.

The most beautiful music on earth was of course composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. My son always finds Sunday the day to play it, and today it was the Actus Tragicus cantate. This duet always gets me very emotional, most importantly the part after 3:10 in the youtube link where the soloist is singing with an unisono choral.
