12 – Liz Phair – Supernova

I didn’t hear from Liz Phair until I read about her on an american weblog, so I checked some of her music out on the official site. There were some clips, and this one stood out immediately; so much that pretty soon we were covering it in our band.

I like the unisono guitar and bass; and in our version the double tracked lead vocals. That was the first time we tried that.

6 – Elliott Smith – L.A.

I checked Glenn’s blog and saw he listed a song of Elliott Smith.
I never heard a song by Elliott until I learned about his death on an American blog I visited quite often. I searched the web for more, and this somehow became one of the first songs I heard from him that day. For a week I hardly listened to another song. Excellent.
