Screaming Trees… not very well known, still one of my all time favorite bands. This one had to grow on me quite a bit, but I play it on repeat constantly these days.

This song by Eels from their 2003 album Shootenanny is going to be played by the band I play guitar and sing lead vocals in. I like it a lot! It’s gonna be a challenge to play both guitar parts on one guitar though.

Belgian band Soulwax (aka Too Many DJs, aka The Flying Dewaele Brothers) had a few hits in the nineties with some very interesting songs. I already posted Conversation Intercom, their best song in my opinion. This one is a close second.

One of my son’s favorite Hallo Venray songs. We like the clip, with singer Henk Koorn swinging upside down whilst and at the same time singing and playing (well, playbacking) the song. Me, I like the fact that it’s short, fast, in your face, take it or leave it style!

My wife loves this Radiohead song. Lately they have become too experimental to be truly enjoyable we think, but overall The Bends, where this song is from, is really great.

Hallo Venray is a dutch band that rose to fame in the early nineties. They had two albums that did pretty well in the national charts, but after that their popularity waned and now they’re mostly playing in the club circuit if they play at all. This one is off their album Merry-Go-Round. It’s a staple song for the bands I play in with my good friend Jordy.

Chris Cornell made one very good solo album: Euphoria Morning, produced by Alain Johannes and backed by the band Eleven. It’s underrated I think; chock full of very nice unique melodic beatle-esque melodies.
I hadn’t played this album for quite a while, but now I did this song is stuck in my head more than a week already.

In Holland this song by australian band Regurgitator is completely unknown; I can’t remember where I got it from but it has to be somewhere on teh internets. I love that intro, I’d like to be able to come up with that kind of intricate simplicity.
