Herman Brood was called troeteljunkie (cuddly junkie) in the Netherlands, because of his overly rock and roll lifestyle. He played some great rock and roll songs, but was never really known outside the Netherlands. He died after he jumped from the Hilton hotel in Amsterdam in 2001.
