98 - The Neville Brothers - Yellow Moon

Daniel Lanois produced the album Yellow Moon by the Neville Brothers. I liked the song a lot at the time, and my then girlfriend did too; so as a present I sent her the vinyl 7″ (remember, we only had vinyl and tapedecks den) by mail. Which wasn’t a good idea; it arrived in pieces…

Youtube - the Neville Brothers live met John Hiatt.

Yep, great song. If you like the Neville Brothers, you’ll propably can appreciate the Meters, Allen Toussaint and Little Feat. One big southern family!

Fat man in the bathtub is already on here somewhere!
And yes, I know some of the Meters’ songs, and they’re sho ’nuff funky; plus they’re super musicians and it’s tastefully produced. But to my ears it misses something, I don’t know what. Maybe songwriting, I don’t know.
Allen Toussaint I’ll check out, I read he produced the Meters as well.
