71 – Hallo Venray – Ballade voor de Vriendinnen van 1 Nacht

A dutch song. This one appeared on a tribute cd from a selection of dutch bands, who played songs of dutch hippie legend Boudewijn de Groot.
Hallo Venray made an ansolutely fabulous rock version of an originally charleston like song, the title of which translates roughly as “Ballad of the girlfriends for one night”, meaning one night stands I guess. As the cd is long out of print, I post it here.
It’s a rip of a tape I made from the cd (we only had tapedecks way back in the early nineties).
Check that last verse especially… talking about chills.
