67 - Dead Moon - Walking on my Grave
April 16th, 2008 by arthur

Ten years ago or so, I was introduced to the music of Dead Moon. I didn’t think much of it until I saw them live; that blew me away. The pure rock energy of these guys live is very intense… too bad they disbanded. Fred and Toody, singer/songwriter/guitar player and bassplayer, formed the Pierced Arrows and are touring Europe right now. I saw them last saturday in The Hague, and the vibe is still there…

Holy crap! They’re a local (to Portland, Oregon, USA) band. Small freakin’ world, yo. May I recommend Chris Newman’s “Divining Rods” as another Portland band to check out? Well, I am anyway, heh. Amazing guitarist, and all around nice guy too.

Thanks for the tip, I found their myspace and will listen to it today.
Yeah, I had my home made Tuuurderbird guitar (a loose replica of Fred’s own guitar) signed by Fred when the Pierced Arrows played in The Hague on saturday, he had some nice stories to tell too.
