36 - The Beatles - She Said, She Said

Can you guess I am a fan of the Beatles yet? This is the third Beatles song on this blog already, and the second off the Revolver album. I am a big George fan, and I always thought he wrote this. But then I found out John wrote it! I felt sorry for George for not having written a great song like this, and John got a few bonus points.
The guitars and the drums sound sooo good on this. And those harmonies…
Lennon lost nearly all of his bonus points when I read this:
This song (George’s Love you to, also on Revolver) started a less than happy tradition, that of Lennon refusing to contribute to any of Harrison’s songs. It was recorded on April 11 and 13, 1966.
Luckily, that remark is not true at all.
“For You Blue” is a Beatles song written by George Harrison (and recorded 25 January 1969…) The song features John Lennon playing lap steel guitar with a shotgun shell as shown in the Let It Be movie.
